87TH INFANTRY DIVISION ORDER OF BATTLE |
On this page you will find the actual Order of Battle for the Division to include current player assignments. At this time we will only be covering the 345th and 346th Infantry Regiments. For the most part each player will be assigned a single standard US Infantry Company. The Company will consist of the following OB when at full strength; |
Leader x3; 6-6-6 x9; 3-4-6 x3; 1-2-6 x6; HMG; MMG x2; M2 60mm MTR x3; BAZ x3 |
Due to casualties sustained in combat in the Saar region earlier in the month most of the companies will be at less than full strength. In addition, the unit has only been in France for about a month and most of the troops are just now seeing combat for the first time. This means 2nd Line and Green troops are likely to make up part of the players command. Research also has them using water cooled HMG's and not .50 cal HMG's. |

For this campaign, the Weapon Companies (D, H and M) will be under control of the Battalion Commanders. At any given time the Regimental Commander can allocate any of his assets to the Battalions Commanders. In addition, more assets can be assigned to the Regiment from Division Headquarters such as Reconnaissance, Engineer, Anti-Air and Artillery forces. Also, for the duration of the campaign, the 761st Independent Tank Battalion has been assigned to the 87th Infantry Division.
